Hi everyone! Join me as I get ready for a date night with my husband.

If you’re looking for date night makeup ideas, you’ve come to the right place. Let’s get ready together!

Tools and materials:

  • Foundation
  • Beauty blender
  • Eyeshadow
  • Makeup brushes
  • Liquid eyeliner
  • Mascara
  • Bronzer
  • Blush
  • Lipstick
  • Clip
  • Curling wand
Applying foundation

1. Foundation

For date night, I like to wear a little bit of a heavier coverage of foundation than I would in the day, where I tend to just stick to a tinted moisturizer or BB cream.

For night-time, I want to look a bit extra. Apply the foundation with a beauty blender.

Applying eye makeup

2. Eye makeup

Start your eye makeup by applying a neutral base of brown eyeshadow to your lids.

Applying eye makeup

For the evenings, I like to go for a darker-eye look, whether it be a darker color eyeshadow or maybe just a dramatic eyeliner.

Pick up some dark eyeshadow on a thin brush and apply it underneath your eyes.

I don’t like to bring it all the way across as I think it makes my eyes look smaller, so I’m just applying it to the outer half of my eyes.

Then go in with a really bold liquid eyeliner on the bottom of your lids. Wing it out at the sides to create a catty look.

3. Mascara

Usually, I would put false lashes on for a date night look, but I actually have lash extensions on right now, so I’m just adding some mascara to create a dramatic lash look.

Applying bronzer

4. Bronzer

Next, put bronzer on your face.

Applying blush

5. Blush

Whenever you're doing a red lip, try to avoid putting blush on the apples of your cheeks and take it up a little bit higher.

Adding lipstick

6. Lipstick

Of course, a date night look wouldn’t be complete without bold red lipstick.

Curling hair

7. Curl hair

For the hair, clip the entire top half of your hair up so it’s out of the way, then curl the bottom half and work your way up until you’ve curled all of your hair.

I’m going for loose, beachy waves instead of tighter ringlets.

Here is the finished look. For the outfit, I went with a little black dress paired with black suede pumps.

Now I have my hair and makeup done, I have my outfit sorted, and I’m ready for date night.

Thanks for getting ready with me, and I hope you were able to pick up some date-night styling inspiration along the way.
