Easy Halloween Poncho

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays! It can be chilly at times during the month of October so I'm taking a blanket and turning it into a poncho. You can see more of my crazy creations here

I started this project with a fleece blanket that was 50" x 60". It is important to use fleece as it won't fray while creating this poncho.

I folded the blanket in half and laid it on the floor making sure to smooth it out. The folded side is at the top of this picture.

I measured and found the center of the blanket on the folded side. I made a little hole with my fabric scissors and then cut a few inches on either side created an opening large enough for my head to fit through.

My poncho is complete, simply put it on and let your arms come out the shorter sides of the blanket. I made some of these for my kids and they love them. They're great for lounging around the house.
