6 Tips How to Style Oversized Sweater

The oversized sweater hype is still going strong and is becoming even more popular as the temperatures start to go down. However, not everyone is comfortable putting one on in fear of looking sloppy. Well, there is always that risk, but if you style your outfit the right way, you will not only be toasty warm in your knit sweater but you will make some heads turn as you stroll by.

Oversized sweaters and faux leather leggings will gladly marry each other and live happily ever after 🙂 They are both very much “in” the world of fashion right now. These high waist black faux leather leggings are very thick yet stretchy. They will not make you feel like you are not wearing anything (because other leggings do make me feel that way). This knitted pullover is very soft and great quality! It features a turtleneck neck and oversized baggy style. The sweater comes in SO many colors and color combinations. You will be sure to pick one you will love! Beware, you may end up buying more than one – for each season 🙂

What shoes to wear with leggings many people wonder? Well, you can pretty much name any! Sneakers, tennis shoes, pumps, boots, booties, over-the-knee boots.. Shall I continue? 🙂

For this fall look, I picked cheetah print mules from Amazon. Very stylish, comfortable and so affordable these mules are most definitely a fall wardrobe staple! Ripped jeans are always in style.. I think I have a pair for each year of my adult life because they are always sold in stores year over year. Am I right? How many pairs do you own? These jeans are old and you can even see the threads in the holes are ripping off and more of my skin is now showing, haha. Oh well, small rips, big or none you are the one to decide what you are comfortable with. But what is important to remember is oversized sweaters are indeed perfect paired with jeans. You can tuck it in or leave it loose, but jeans and oversized sweaters are meant to be together forever! (sorry, faux lather leggings, nothing personal).

I will say it again, this knitted pullover is a great option if you want to jump on the oversized sweater wagon. It is super soft, comes in MANY colors and is super affordable. What can I say? Amazon does it AGAIN!

HOW to style oversized sweater? This sweater is a bit different from the one I showed above. It is oversized but the style and material are not the same. This white and gray sweater is made of blanket type fuzzy material that feels so good against your skin. You will not want to take it off! It features side slits and a crew neck, and it comes in many colors and color combinations. I ordered a size small but it is pretty baggy and long. I would recommend tucking it in.

And as I mentioned above, faux leather leggings and oversized sweaters look so cute together 🙂 As for the shoes, to finalize this fall look you can put on a pair of ankle boots like these adorable pointy toe Vince Camuto booties that I am obsessed with this fall. These boots are made of faux suede material and are very soft and comfortable – not to mention very flattering!

SO many things go well with jeans. Isn’t that true? Oversized sweaters are not an exception but rather the rule!
