Most of the time when I go to get dressed I have a certain idea of an outfit in mind. But sometimes when I get the outfit on, I feel a little too dressy or a little too edgy for whatever occasion I am heading to. I have a few specific shoe styles that I always go back-and-forth between to change out the look of each outfit. Simply changing shoes gives each outfit its own unique vibe.

I have styled outfits with three different types of shoes to show you how your shoe choice can change your entire outfit. What’s your go-to shoe?

Strappy heels

Adding heels to any outfit always gives it a more polished feel. I love nude strappy heals because they go with just about anything! Whether it be jeans, a dress, or even business casual trousers, heels really elevate your look.

I have also been loving it thicker strapped wedge heels. These really enhance outfits but in a more casual way than a nude thick black heel would.

Black Booties

Boots definitely pull look together and make your outfit feels like it’s specifically tailored to the season. I love a simple black bootie. My favorites are suede and reptile skin patterned. A little heel dresses it up but less of a heel gives a more casual look. Adding a Doc Martin, Chelsea boots, or military style boots definitely changes the entire look of an outfit as well.

Patterned or white western booties can also become the focal point of an outfit. Choose these wisely and style them with really simple safe things to make them stand out.

White Fashion Sneakers

White sneakers are so cute and dress any look down. You could definitely take a look from day to night by changing from sneakers into heels. Cute, white sneakers are a staple in a teacher’s wardrobe. They go great with skirts, colored jeans, and even some dresses! Plus, they are just a more feasible and comfortable option too.

I love pairing white sneakers with midi skirts as well as a chunky sweater tucked in or a knotted graphic tee and you have a super casual but dressy look.
