Quick and Easy Glitter Purple Eye Makeup Tutorial
If you love sparkly, shimmering eyeshadow, you’re in for a treat.
Today, I'm going to be showing you how to create a really pretty glitter purple eye makeup look. Follow along as I show you what to do step by step.
Tools and materials:
- Eyeshadow primer
- Cream eyeshadow
- Sparkly eyeshadow
- Makeup brushes
- Eyeshadow
- Eyebrow comb
- Eyelash curler
- Mascara
- Lip gloss
1. Eyeshadow primer
Start by applying eyeshadow primer. Put it on your eyelids and along your lower lash line, and then blend it in with your fingers.
2. Cream eyeshadow
Next, apply a shimmery cream eyeshadow to your eyelids, which will work as a base to help you powder eyeshadows last longer and be more vibrant.
3. Sparkly eyeshadow
Now, take a sparkly light pink eyeshadow and apply it to your eyelids.
Then, go in with a medium mauve purple and apply it to your crease as a transition color.
Proceed to take a darker purple, apply it to the outer corner, and blend it into the crease.
Take an even darker plum-purple and just focus it on the outer corner. We’re just building up all of these colors.
Now, take a vibrant dark purple and apply that to the outer corner and crease just to brighten things up a bit.
Next, take a light shimmery color and just apply that on your brow bone and in the inner corner.
Take the medium purple we applied to the crease as a transition color and apply that along the lower lash line.
Then, take the vibrant purple shade and apply it to the outer corner of the lower lash line.
4. Eyebrows
Take an eyeshadow shade that matches your coloring (I’m using a reddish-brown color) and use it to fill your eyebrows in.
Then, blend them out with an eyebrow comb and set them back into place.
5. Mascara
Curl your eyelashes and apply two coats of black mascara.
6. Lip gloss
The final step is to add a touch of lip gloss.
Glitter purple eye makeup
Here is the finished shimmering purple eye makeup look, and I think it looks gorgeous.
The trick when creating a glittery look like this is not just to use one shade of eyeshadow but use different shades of the same color to really work up the depth and intensity.
I’m really happy with the final look and hope you’ll give it a go for yourself!
