The holiday season is in and so is Christmas eye makeup.

In this tutorial, I’m going to show you how to do a stunning green and gold eye makeup look that is hooded-eye friendly. Let’s jump into it!

Tools and materials:

  • Primer
  • Color corrector
  • Contour
  • Foundation
  • Concealer
  • Setting powder
  • Setting spray
  • Eyebrow gel
  • Brow pencil
  • Eyeshadow palette
  • Eye pencil
  • Eyelash curler
  • Mascara
  • Blush
  • Liquid lipstick
Applying primer

1. Apply primer

Apply a primer to fill in your pores and fine lines, and smooth out your skin before you apply anything else over it.

Applying color corrector

2. Apply a color corrector and blend

Apply a color corrector where you have discoloration. I’m focusing around my mouth and under my eyes.

Applying color corrector

Let it settle for a few minutes before you blend it out. This way you get more coverage.

Applying contour

3. Apply liquid contour and blend

We’re going for a very subtle contour, so we’ll contour first and then put foundation over it.

I applied contour to my forehead, in the hollows of my cheekbones, and to my jawline.

Applying contour

Blend with a foundation brush.

Applying foundation

4. Apply foundation and blend

If you’re using a full-coverage foundation, using too much will completely cover the contour and you won’t be able to see the dimension.

The key is to use a minimal amount of product, only as much as you need to give you an even skin tone.

Using the same brush with the residue of the other products will give you a beautiful blend.

Applying concealer

5. Apply concealer and blend

Use a thin concealer around your mouth and under your eyes just like you did with the color corrector.

Applying concealer

Let it get tacky and dry before you blend it out. Use a stiff concealer brush or your finger.

Applying setting powder

6. Apply a setting powder

Apply a setting powder to the areas where you used concealer to prevent it from settling in the fine lines and creasing.

Don’t use too much powder or your face will look cakey.

Applying setting spray

7. Spray on a setting spray

Setting spray is going to lock in your makeup and make it long-lasting.

Applying brow gel

8. Brush your brows

Brush your brows with a spoolie and eyebrow gel to keep them in place.

Applying brow gel

9. Fill in your brows

Fill in the sparse areas with a brow pencil.

Priming eyelids

10. Prime your eyelids

Cover your lid in primer, and then blend the primer up to your brows. This dries pretty quickly and doesn’t crease, so you don’t need to set it.

Highlighting brow bone

11. Highlight your brow bone

Use a highlighter shade of your eyeshadow palette to highlight your brow bone.

Adding eyeshadow

12. Apply your transition shade

Using a blending brush, shade out the outer-v of your eyelid and your crease with a warm, matte brow shade.

This is your transition shade. Add more color to increase the intensity while you blend.

Adding eyeshadow

Also, apply it to your lower lash line with a tapered blending brush.

Adding eyeshadow

13. Do a cut crease

Apply a bronzy gold with a flat shader brush to your lid. Do a soft cut crease.

Adding eyeshadow

14. Highlight your inner corner

Dip into the highlighter shade to highlight your inner corner.

Creating wing

15. Create a smokey wing

Use an angled brush and a deep charcoal shade to create a wing in the outer corner of your eye.

Join it to your lash line, and then smudge it out to create a smokey wing.

Creating wing

Sharpen out the edge with concealer.

Adding primer to lower lash line

16. Apply primer to your lower lash line

Apply primer to your lower lashline to make it tacky so your eyeshadow sticks better.

If you apply it dry, it might stick better since shimmer eyeshadows are more coarse and prone to falling off.

Adding eyeshadow

17. Apply eyeshadow to your lower lash line

Tap the green shimmer eyeshadow into your lower lash line. Layer it as much as you prefer. Wipe off any fallout with a clean brush.

Lining waterline

18. Line your waterline

Line your waterline with a lime green eye pencil.

Adding mascara

19. Apply mascara to curled lashes

Curl your lashes and apply mascara to your upper and lower lashes.

Applying blush

20. Apply blush

Tap blush onto your cheekbones.

Applying lipstick

21. Apply liquid lipstick

Outline your lips with a liquid lipstick and then fill them in.
