DIY Towel Hair Wrap

With a large towel and a little bit of simple sewing, you can make this pretty DIY towel hair wrap. It's quick, easy, and best of all, super useful!
Tools and materials:
- Brown paper
- Towel fabric
- Pins
- Scissors
- Thread
- Elastic
- 1 button
- Sewing machine
Make a pattern
Trace and cut a rectangle on your paper measuring 60 x 30 centimeters (23.6 x 11.8 inches). Now, draw a half-teardrop curved line to fill the paper and cut out the shape. You can see the final shape in the video at 0:38.
Cut the fabric
Place the towel fabric in half. Pin the teardrop shape on the towel. Do not align any edges of the shape to the fold of the towel, because you will want two pieces of cut fabric. Cut out the teardrop from the fabric.
Sew the wrap
Pin and sew the curved part of the towel, leaving the straight edge open.
Cut a small piece of elastic and fold it so it’s in a loop, the right size to fit around your button. Pin the elastic loop to the pointed corner of the towel.
Now, fold the straight edge of the fabric in 1 centimeter (0.4 inches) and sew a hem with a straight stitch. This hem will also sew in your elastic. On the opposite corner to the elastic, hand stitch a button onto the right side of the fabric.
x Wrap it!
To use the towel, place it on your head with the button at the back of your neck. Flip your hair over the top of your head, twist the towel, and fold it back. Secure the elastic loop to the button. You can see this demonstrated in the video at 1:40.
