No Sew Hobo Bag Out of a Skirt

I have had this skirt forever and never worn it, so I decided to convert it into a hobo bag instead.

This was a really easy project that required no sewing.

I just turned the bag inside out and used a hair elastic to tie the ends together. You will want to tie it really tight so it doesn't open up on you if there is something heavy in the bag!

Then I turned the bag right side out again.

I decided to use a different belt then the one it came with to pull the opening together. I happened to have this one from another purse that I wasn't using at the time and I think the chain looks much better.

Finally, I used the original belt as the strap for the bag. On one side I used the belt buckle and wrapped it to the belt loops.

On the other side I just tied the end to another belt loop.

Not bad for a quick little bag that doesn't require you to take the sewing machine out. And you can switch it back to a skirt whenever you want since its just an elastic holding it in place!
