This is the time of year I start thinking of making small gifts for people in my life.

I use a SVG file for this from Maisie Moo https://maisie-moo.com/products/hand-sanitizer-holder-svg-hand-sanitiser-31476

I also use a Silhouette Cameo machine but you could cut it by hand.

In addition to those two things, I use key chain holders, faux leather sheets, snap kit, a few popsicle sticks, binder clips and Fabritac Glue.

I bought a multi set of different finishes for my keychains.

I went completely overboard on faux leather. Which pattern should I use to make a video of the process?

I bought empty bottles to use in the holders. I thought it would be handy to mail these to people empty and then they could fill the containers themselves.

I put the faux leather face down on my cutting mat.

After it cuts, I have four pieces and two look like this. You will use two pieces to make each holder.

I fold each side in.

I add Fabri-tac. Iā€™ve tried hot glue and it is really messy and hard to get perfect.

I add about this much Fabri-tac.

I bring up the bottom to cover the glue.

I use two popsicle sticks to sandwich the glue between the two pieces of faux leather.

When both sides are done it will look like this.

You can fold the second piece in half and insert it in the slot.

This is where you will attach the key chain when you are ready. I let the glue dry overnight.

Itā€™s easier to add the snaps when it is dry but I was in a hurry. You need 4 pieces. 2 caps, a stud and a socket.

On the flap, I put one cap and a stud.

I use this tool that came with the kit to secure the snap in place.

Then you will add the second cap and socket to the front. Maisieā€™s design has the holes in it so that makes it really easy.

Hereā€™s several that I have made so far.

I think they are quite fun and addicting to make.

A couple of things that forgotā€¦ here is a picture of my snap kit. Iā€™ve been terrified of doing snaps and this kit makes it a ā€œsnapā€! šŸ˜Š

The other thing I forgot to mention is that some of your printed faux leather will have a white border. I suggest cutting that off. I didnā€™t notice it and it messed up two of my holders.

Just about anywhere else, it wouldnā€™t be noticeable. But right on the front of the flap. šŸ˜£ I just wanted to make sure no one had this happen to them. Happy Halloween! šŸŽƒ šŸ‘»

Another thing to take note on is pattern direction. If the pattern being right side up is going to matter than only on side of your holder is correct. When hanging this side, the pattern is upside down.

When hanging, this side is correct. Just an FYI.
