Hi, guys! Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and I know we’re all scrambling for the perfect, on-theme outfit so our hair ends up being the last thing we’re thinking about.

I want to show you how you can braid a heart in your hair that’s really easy and quick, so you can spend less time worrying about it! It’s really cute and perfect for getting into the Valentine’s spirit.

Tools and materials:

  • Hair elastics
  • Hair clip
  • Bobby pins
Parting hair into sections

1. Part the hair

Start by parting your hair into a middle part. Then, make another part by taking a section of hair on both sides, starting from the top of your eyebrows, and gathering it in the back.

Clipping the other section away

We’re going to work on one section at a time so clip or tie away the other section for now.

2. Braid one side of the hair

Pull your hair towards the middle as far as you can, and braid. The braid should start on the back of your hair, not the side. Tie off the ends with an elastic.

Braiding the opposite section of hair

Repeat with the other section, braiding as close to the part as possible.

3. Make the heart braid

Now we’re going to make the heart. Take the first braid you did and wrap it around itself a couple of times while holding it firmly in place. Once it looks a bit like a half bun, pin it down.
