Holiday Updo, Perfect for Short Hair
If you have short hair, there’s no reason why you can’t still create stylish hairstyles with it.
Yes, you might not have as much hair to work with, but that doesn’t matter - there are still a lot of things you can do.
Follow along as I show you a holiday updo that is perfect for short hair.
Tools and materials:
- Hair tie
- Bobby pins
- Curling iron
1. Tie hair up
Start by tying up your hair, leaving a little bit down at the front to frame your face.
2. Curl front sections
Now, curl those two front sections with a curling iron.
Go for a thin curling iron, as we want small, defined curls as opposed to large, loose ones.
3. Curl ponytail
Proceed to curl your ponytail.
4. Pin down curls
Using bobby pins, take some of the curls from the top of the ponytail and pin them to the top of your head.
5. Pull on hair
Finish by gently pulling on your hair to give you some more volume at the top.
Holiday updo, perfect for short hair
Here is the finished look. I love all of the little curls, each falling in a different direction - it gives the whole hairstyle a lot of texture and makes it really fun.
