We all have those off days where we look in the mirror and notice how bushy our eyebrows have become. This is where my tutorial comes in handy!

I’ll show you how to shave eyebrows so they land up looking sleek and on fleek! This is particularly good if you don’t have time to wax or thread them.

Tools and materials:

  • Eyebrow shaver
  • Moisturizer
  • Spoolie
  • Scissors
  • Tissue
Eyebrows before shaving

Applying moisturizer around the eyebrows

1. Apply moisturizer

Apply your favorite moisturizer on your eyebrows. I’m using a great brand for sensitive skin, as the skin around your eyebrows is somewhat delicate.

Combing brow hairs upwards with a spoolie

2. Comb through

Now, go in with a clean spoolie brush and brush your hair upward.

3. Start shaving

Next, start shaving with your eyebrow shaver. I’m using a shaver specific to eyebrows as it will get all those pesky hairs and give a smooth, clean-cut shave.

Lightly pull at your skin when shaving; this will give you a better finish.

How to shave eyebrows

As you can see, I started at the top section and I'm running the eyebrow shaver downward. Shaving from the direction of where your hair grows is a must.

Wiping off the cream and hair on a tissue

Wipe off the excess cream and hair on tissue paper to avoid buildup.

Shaving in the opposite direction from growth

Now moving onto the under brow section, again, move the razor towards the opposite direction of the hair growth.

Carefully using an eyebrow shaver

Be sure to move around with really tiny strokes. Also, take your time and be careful not to ruin the shape of your eyebrows.

Shaving eyebrows in the middle

Don’t forget the middle!

Wiping off the remaining moisturizer

When you’re done with one eyebrow, wipe off any excess cream or hair with clean tissue.

Trimming eyebrows with grooming scissors

3. Trim your eyebrows

Brush your eyebrow hair upward and with good quality grooming scissors, trim the long hairs that are peeking out the eyebrows’ natural shape.

Massaging a soothing cream over the brows

Next, take a cool soothing cream and massage it over your eyebrows.

Filling in brows with an eyebrow pencil

If you want to fill in your eyebrows, you can go ahead and do that now.

Tip: You can also try shaping your eyebrows with a pencil before shaving them, so you have a guideline of where to trim

Here’s the after picture! I love the results, and this quick fix is perfect for those days when you’re in a rush and don’t have time to actually wax your eyebrows.

Do shaved eyebrows grow back?

Of course, they do. As a matter of fact, they grow back really thick.

That’s why I don’t recommend this method to be part of your regular eyebrow grooming routine because before you know it, you’ll have really bushy brows.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial on how to shave eyebrows. See you next time!

Hello! I couldn't tolerate plucking when I was young. I ve been shaving my eyebrows for 50 years with a single razor blade. I've sometimes nicked myself but never hurt my eye!!

Shave them off just to color them back in. Sorry, I don't get it.
