Hey guys! I can’t wait to show you my latest jeans refashion project.

I love bringing fresh and fun new looks to old clothes, especially jeans. I thought I had tried just about everything but this DIY is truly unique.

Tools and materials:

  • Colored string
  • Sewing needle
  • Thread
  • Scissors
  • Jeans
Cutting pant leg

1. Cut one pant leg

The first thing you’re going to do is cut one pant leg, around mid-thigh.

Just cut one leg, and don’t throw away the bottom. We’re going to need it.

Friendship bracelets

2. Friendship bracelets

You’re going to need to make about four or five friendship bracelets. You can make more if you like.

I decided to use a variety of colors and made five very different-looking bracelets varying in size and patterns.

You could try making them all the same if you want a more coordinated look.

If you want to save yourself time, feel free to buy the friendship bracelets pre-made!

Threading needle

3. Sew

DIY friendship bracelet

Take the cut pant leg and sew one side of each bracelet around the leg with an inch or two in between each one.

Attaching friendship bracelets

Then sew the tops of the bracelet to the jeans as well. Cut any extra string and you’re done.

I love how funky these came out. It’s also actually a great way to stay cool while wearing jeans in the summer heat.

What do you guys think? Give it a try and leave me a comment to let me know how yours came out.
