Yes, I get it, these fruit earrings are not for everyone and with my purple hair they might just be too much, but I have purple hair so it’s obvious I don’t really care what people think anyways. Even if these earrings aren’t something that you would wear everyday they are still a great Halloween option if you are dressing up as Carmen Miranda or any other character that requires fruit accessories. Here are the instructions on DIY Tutti Frutti Earrings:
Supplies for Tutti Frutti Earrings

  • Plastic fruit slices from the craft store
  • Earring hooks
  • Tiny eye screws (also from the craft store)
  • Something sharp to poke a hole in the fruit
Poke a hole in the plastic fruit slice

Use a needle or something small and sharp to poke a hole in the plastic. I used the tip of my wire cutters. Make sure the hole is smaller that the screw otherwise it will fall out.
Add the eye hook and earring hook

Next, screw in your eye hook and attach the silver earring wire with needle nose pliers. Add a dab of glue if needed to help the screw stay in place.
Add the earring hook

Use your pliers to attach the earring hook.
Your earrings are done!

Now your earrings are done and a soon as the glue dries (if you used any) you can put them on and wear them.
