How To Make Lemon Sugar Scrub – Hand Exfoliator

Lemon sugar scrub ingredients

  • 1 cup of sugar – a natural exfoliant,
  • 2 tablespoons of lemon juice – a natural antibacterial and cleanser,
  • 2 tablespoons of coconut oil – an anti-aging moisturizer
  • Plus lemon zest for more citrus scent and garnishing

Directions

  1. Mix the lemon juice, sugar, and coconut oil in a bowl
  2. Transfer your scrub into a wide mouth jar/container
  3. Garnish with lemon zest
  4. Place the lid and store in your fridge
  5. Exfoliate your hands whenever they feel dry
  6. Rinse off after several minutes
  7. Pat your hands dry
  8. Your hands will feel smoother and softer
  9. You can also add this hand scrub to your at-home manicure routine or use just before bedtime.
  10. This lemon sugar scrub will harden up like candy if exposed to air.
  11. So make sure the lid is airtight.

How to use lemon sugar scrub for manicure

  1. First, clean your nail polish off (if your nails are painted).
  2. Next, trim your cuticles with a sterilized cuticle trimmer.
  3. Then file and buff your nails.
  4. After that, wash your hands with hand soap or your regular bath soap.
  5. Then exfoliate hands with your lemon sugar scrub, and rinse off after a few minutes.
  6. You don’t have to use hand cream, thanks to the coconut oil in the hand scrub.
  7. Wipe your nails with a cotton ball and polish remover before applying your base coat.
  8. Apply your nail polish twice for a better finish, and make sure it is completely dry before applying the topcoat.
  9. And you’re done. You gave yourself a great DIY manicure.
