1. Apply primer
After you put on your skincare, apply a glowy primer all over your skin.
2. Apply an eyelid primer
Apply a base primer on the eyelid. I find using a concealer set with a powder to do the same job.
If you have issues with shadows creasing or not staying, live in extremely hot and humid weather, or just have very oily eyelids, I recommend using an eyelid primer.
3. Set the eyelid primer
Lightly set the eyelid primer with a powder so you can blend more easily on top of it.
4. Apply a warm brown to the crease
Contour at the crease using a fluffy crease brush. Use windshield wiper motions to add depth to the area above the lid.
Make sure to do this when the eyes are open and looking forward. Otherwise, you’ll lose the shading when the eyes do open because the placement will be a little too low.
This is very likely to happen on more mature eyes that have hooding or heaviness here.
5. Apply a shimmer highlight to the lid
To bring the light forward, use a vanilla highlight tone.
To get the most pigment payoff with shimmers, use your finger and a dabbing motion to apply it.
Then, blend the transition from the lid to the crease with a crease brush.
6. Smoke the side of the eye
You want to intensify while still staying flattering. Creating depth in the outer corner will give you a smoked-out effect without too much darkness.
A great way to do that is to dip into a darker shadow and use a densely packed crease brush to create a triangle from the lash line to the crease.
7. Line and smoke out your eyes
To keep the liner super soft but still defined, use a dark brown pencil. Go over it with black eyeshadow and a blending brush.
8. Clean up and moisturize the under-eye
Use a Q-tip and some moisturizer to clean up the liner while simultaneously prepping the under-eye skin for makeup.
This is also a great way to sharpen up the corners of the eye — by pulling the Q-tip up, you lift the eyeliner which is extremely flattering on a more mature face.
9. Apply foundation
Apply a foundation with amazing coverage and long-lasting wear time.
10. Color correct under the eyes
Use a color corrector to neutralize blue or even purple tones. Use it on dark marks or areas with discoloration.
Blend it out with a damp beauty blender. Let it settle and dry.
11. Fill in your brows
Fill in your brows with a warm, dark brown pencil.
If you go dark and cool on the brows, it can look very harsh, especially on a more mature face.
Shade the ends more strongly, but sketch tiny hairs on the inner part of the brow.
12. Apply a brow powder
Wax-based brow pencils tend to move in the heat, so if you’re going to be spending time outdoors, go over the pencil with a brow powder to set the wax base.
13. Highlight
Highlight the depth with a concealer slightly lighter than your skin tone. Apply it on the outer corner of the eyes to lift. Blend.
14. Contour
Chisel out your cheekbones and jawline. Blend.
15. Set the skin
Set the under-eyes, as well as any areas of the skin that get oily over time, with a brightening powder.
16. Line the lower lashline
Add more smoke with the brown pencil underneath your eyes, and soften it with a blending brush.
17. Apply mascara and falsies
18. Line and fill in your lips
Line and fill in your lips with lipstick and a matching liner.
19. Apply blush
Apply a pink matte blush to your cheekbones.
20. Highlight
Apply a light matte shadow to your brow bone and tear duct as a highlight.
21. Line the waterline
Apply black liner on the waterline on the top and bottom.
Adding black to the bottom makes your eyes look more almond and will shrink the eye size.
If you have small eyes or want an open-eye effect, I don’t recommend it.

Love this! Wish you could come to me, I am getting ready to go to a 50th HS reunion and am undergoing chemotherapy. What miracle can you work with a bald, lash-less, brow-less old lady? LOL
