I made some super comfy but stylish trousers and I hope you love them as much as I do!?

I'm going to show you all the steps to create your own and then style them two ways, for summer and winter!!

The pattern I'm using is the Free Range Slacks by Sew House Seven, and you can buy this from the designer here > Free-Range Slacks Sewing Pattern (PDF) – Sew House Seven (sewhouse7.com)

I used a gorgeous Stretch Linen from Minerv.com and you can find it here if you'd like to make some just the same too!? > Minerva Core Range Stretch Woven Linen Blend Fabric | 1243694 | Minerva

Firstly the pattern has fab pockets and we're going to start by adding the pocket bags to the front trouser legs.

Then the two back patch pockets are added to the back trouser legs.

One really clever style feature of the Free Range Slacks is there are three panels in the trouser legs (front back and side panel) and this is the next stage. Let's stitch the three panels together at the side seams, right sides together.

Then stitch the inside leg seam as well.

Next we slide one trouser leg inside the other, right sides touching, then stitch the crotch seam together, I like to stitch this seam twice after all we don't want to split that seam bending over!!

Next we're going to stitch on the waistband before we add some elastic, then just the hems to stitch and we're ready to style them up!!

Tada, all done and I love them, they are so comfy and yet so attractive, here I'm wearing then with a lovely snuggly hand knit sweater and I'm so toasty warm, ready for a winter day out!!

Here's my second outfit I'm ready for a day in the office, comfy, cool and yet so smart in my linen blouse and Free Range slacks, which is your favourite styling??
