How to Do Pretty Red Christmas Nails With Easy Star & Snow Designs

Tools and materials:

• Red nail polish
• White nail polish
• Clear top coat
• Striping brush
• Dotting tool or toothpick

1. Apply red polish

The base of these beautiful Christmas nails is red.

Paint two coats of red polish on your nails, letting each coat dry thoroughly. Make sure the base is absolutely dry to avoid any smearing when applying the decorations. The hardest part is waiting for them to dry!

2. Add a white stripe

While you can do this just for one nail, doing all your nails with red and white is so perfect for Christmas. Remove the applicator brush from the white polish. Dip the striping brush into the applicator brush to pick up some of the white polish.

Paint a white line to one side of the nail off-center from the cuticle to about three-quarters down on the nail.

It looks great if you do it on all the nails.

3. Make a Christmas star

Close to the cuticle edge, make a small horizontal line on the longer vertical stripe. Then draw two small diagonal lines in the same spot. 

A handful of perfect little stars!

4. Add some snow

Use the dotting tool or a toothpick to make little dots to resemble snow or even far-away stars! Dip the tool into the white polish applicator brush.

Apply very tiny dots to the surface of the nail. 

5. Seal the deal

Wait for the white Christmas decorations to dry thoroughly. Apply a clear shiny top coat to keep the Christmas red and white nails looking perfect!
