It’s no secret that sheer milky nail polish looks super chic and fresh. These colors are iconic and will never go out of fashion. In this quick tutorial, I’m going to show you how to give your nails a boost, so the style is like your nails but better!

This look can work no matter how long your nails are, but I've grown mine out quite long. Let's get started with this easy nail tutorial.

Tools and materials:

  • Base coat
  • Sheer pale pink nail polish
  • Top coat
Applying a base coat to nails

1. Apply base coat

Before adding the sheer milky nail polish, go ahead and apply a base coat. I would also suggest that even if you don’t wear any color nail polish, adding a base coat will prevent breakage and make your nails super strong.

2. Apply the nail polish

For a natural effect, opt for a sheer and almost transparent nail polish. This is the sheer milky nail polish that I’ll be using. Any milky nail polish will give you that "your nails but better” effect.

Now, apply the first layer.

Applying more coats of sheer nail polish

If your nails are short, you may only need one coat. But, if they’re longer like mine, another two applications will suffice.

Tip: Leave your nails to dry at least 5 minutes between coats.

3. Add a top coat

Now, once your nail polish is completely dry, top it off with a clear top coat. The top coat I’m using is super glossy, and it gives off a gel nail polish look.
