Tools and materials:
- Bowl
- Spoon
- Gelatine
- Paper towel
- Powder
- Blunt object
- Black eyeliner
- Red eyeshadow
- Assorted brushes
- Foundation
- Ketchup
1. Apply gelatine
Mix one tablespoon of gelatine powder with two tablespoons of hot water.
Make sure it’s a runny consistency. Then, go ahead and apply it to your neck area, as shown.
Tip: Make sure the layer is thin and not thick.
Take some tissue paper and tear it into one-ply, small strips. Then, place it over the gelatine layer.
Then, apply another thin layer of gelatine over the tissue paper.
Continue the same process, layering your neck with tissue paper and applying gelatin around 3-4 times.
Make sure that your gelatine layers dry completely before moving on to the next step. If it’s not dry, you can dab on some powder to help the drying process.
2. Apply foundation
Now, apply some foundation over the tissue paper. This will blend the texture into your skin.
3. Open the wound
Ok, safety first! Please make sure you do not use anything sharp for this step. Here, I’m using something blunt and working very slowly and carefully to open the middle part of the layer, as shown.
So, cut in the center and remove any excess tissue paper as you go along.
Tip: If the hole is a little distorted, don’t worry. It’s actually going to make the slit throat makeup look more realistic.
Now that your slit is open loosen the skin around it a little.
4. Add more makeup
Now, take a foundation that’s 3-4 shades darker than your skin and dab it right on the layers and open slit.
With black eyeliner, fill in the open wound, and this will help the cut look deep.
Set it with a dark brown eyeshadow and apply it to the skin around the slit.
Next, mix your red lipsticks and lip glosses and dab them onto the open wound with a large brush. Also, dab it randomly around the wound.
5. Use ketchup as fake blood
Now, for the best part! The fake blood. To finish off your slit throat gore makeup, add some ketchup right in the crevice of the slit.
