Spring Makeup Tutorial: An Easy Look for Older Women
Spring is coming and that makes us all feel a bit hopeful and ready for something new.
Some people do a spring clean of their house, but you can also do a clear-out of your makeup and take on a fresh new makeup routine.
In this makeup tutorial for women over 50, I will show you a natural, mature makeup look that will give you that refreshed, ready-for-spring feel.
Ready for something new? Let’s begin!
The makeup I'm using today is from the Look Fabulous Forever Range, made specifically for mature skin. However, you can achieve the same results with any brand of makeup.
Best lip primer!
Tools and materials:
- Your usual foundation, concealer, powder, and primers
- Teal eyeshadow
- Forest green eyeshadow
- Forest green eyeliner
- Black mascara
- Peach cream blush
- Bronzer
- Strawberry-red lip liner
- Coral lipstick
- Cinnamon-pink lip gloss
- Assorted makeup brushes
1. Start with spring eyeshadow
Apply your usual foundation, concealer, powder, and any other primers you normally use. Then, do your brows the way you always do you are ready to start this spring makeup routine.
Spring makes me think about green, so that’s the direction I’m going in this demonstration.
First, use an eye makeup brush to apply teal eyeshadow to your eyelids, in, below, and just above the crease.
2. Add coordinating eyeliner
Apply forest green eyeliner just above your upper lashes.
Now, apply a little of the same eyeliner to your lower eye line.
Soften the eyeliner just a bit, by using a wedge brush and going over the eyeliner with your forest green eyeshadow.
3. Move on to your eyelashes
Curl your eyelashes before applying any mascara.
Squeeze and slightly lift the eyelash curler to get the best result.
Then apply black mascara to your upper lashes.
4. Add spring color to your cheeks
To look like you’ve just been out for a lovely spring walk, apply a peach cream blush by dabbing it on with your fingertip.
You’re probably still a bit pale from the long winter months, so be careful not to choose too vibrant a blush color just yet.
Use a large soft blending brush to add a bit more blush and blend it in.
Now your face will really come alive with your spring makeup look!
Use the same brush to add a little bronzer of your blush, for that extra glow.
Finish with an extra-large makeup brush, and sweep the bronzer all over your face and jawline.
5. Spring lips
After applying your usual lip primer and letting it dry, outline your lips with a nice warm strawberry red lip liner.
Use the same lip liner to fill in your lips.
Use your fingertip to blend it all together and soften the line.
Use a lip brush to apply coral-colored lipstick over your lip liner base.
Gently blot your lips with a tissue.
Finish your lips with cinnamon-pink lip gloss.

I hope you try this spring makeup look and it makes you look and feel lighter and brighter and ready for the change in seasons!
