How to Make a No-Sew DIY Off-Shoulder Top From T-Shirt in Just 10mins

If you’re wondering how to make a no-sew off-the-shoulder top, I’ve got your back. This one is so easy and you can do it for yourself in no time.
All you need is a t-shirt you don’t want anymore or a thrifted top you want to flip! That’s it! No expensive equipment, no advanced sewing stitches, and it’s so simple you’ll be wanting to turn all your shirts into DIY off-the-shoulder tops. Let’s get started!
Tools and materials:
- T-shirt
- Scissors
- Serger (optional)
1. Pick out your shirt
I’m choosing this pink and white ribbed knit shirt. It’s small, but super stretchy, which I like. The great thing about this tutorial is that you can make it with any t-shirt you have lying around.
You need to make sure it's stretchy material.
2. Mark the t-shirt
Then, with a pencil, washable marker, or fabric chalk if you have it, mark on the t-shirt where you want it to hang off your shoulder.
The mark should be straight across your chest and then go up at an angle towards your shoulder.
3. Cut the shirt
Make sure your shirt is nice and flat and aligned evenly in the areas you marked, and cut off the top of the shirt following the marked line.
My t-shirt has horizontal lines, so it was easy for me to cut straight across.
That’s it! Here’s what the final top looks like:

Really, it’s that easy! Anyone can do it. You can tuck your shirt into your pants, as I did, or you can even crop it for a more summertime feel. Let me know what you guys think in the comments down below!
