Did you know that the term, 'tank', referring to the tank top has a pretty fun history? Turns out that back in the 1920s, swimming pools used to be called swimming tanks and because these pieces were worn when going swimming, they were called tanks.

This confirms that tanks have been in trend for quite a while now and probably almost everyone has at least one! Even if it's to add to an already growing pile of crop tops and tanks or to start one, we should also have one that we're proud to say we made ourselves. Right?

This is another from the set of crop tops and like the others, it's super easy to make. You'll see.

Tools and materials:

Jersey fabric

Pins

Pattern:

This pattern has only two pieces, the front and the back. Place them over your fabric and cut.

After the cutting process is done, place your pieces on top of one another, right sides together.

The next step is to pin them together so as to be as precise as possible when sewing.

After pinning them together, it's time to start sewing! Starting with the shoulder straps, I sewed both sides using a straight stitch.

Then, I moved on to the side seams and sewed respecting the seam allowance.

Once I had done that, the folding came next. I neatly folded the neck, armholes and hems.

This is what it looked like up close;

And finally, the end result! Pretty cute sporty tank top! What do you think?

This is one of the three crop top patterns I have. You should check out the others and try them out!

Also, take a look at my other patterns, they're easy to make.

Until next time lovelies,

Kiss!
