I made this fabulously cosy fleece top, and can't wait to wear it as its so comfy, soft and warm!

This is actually a sewing pattern designed for a woven fabric (not stretch) but as this fleece has only 20% stretch I thought it might be perfect, and I think it is!!

Let me show you all the details!!

I used the Merchant and Mills Fielder Top and Dress pattern

Of course every sewing project starts with cutting out the pieces. I was actually really pleased and surprised that the fleece wasn't more messy. I've never sewn with fleece before and had expected it to be much more fluffy when I cut it!!

Firstly I attached the back bodice to the raglan sleeves, I really like these wonder clips, they are great as I can't sew over a pin if I use these instead!!

Then the front bodice is also attached to the sleeves.

We're nearly there now, not many more steps!!

The sleeves are all attached and we are stitching the front and back together at the side seams and the sleeves together at the sleeve seams.

Now for the final step, lets attach the ribbing, to the neck, cuffs and waist. Now were all done!!

I really love my fleecy fielder top, and I'm going to share with you two ways to wear!! Here I've styled it with some heels and Capri pants, nice and smart. Perfect for work or an evening out!

But how about this for an alternative style, chilling in some joggers or a pair of leggings, definitely secret pyjamas.

I really hope you like my new top, I certainly do!!
