Statement Sleeves to Die For!!

I made this adorable blouse with sleeves to die for and I can't wait to share how I made it and how to style it different ways for winter and also for spring!!

Just look at those sleeves, I'm right aren't I?

To die for!!

I had to cut it carefully as the pattern is fabulous and I really wanted it to match across the front!

As you can see the back yoke didn't match, but that's okay by me, I stitched the yoke to the back with a little pleat for space!!

Then pinning the front to the yoke at the shoulders before stitching.

Then after popping the collar on, I started to construct those awesome sleeves!! As you can see they come in three separate sections and that's what gives them the fab shape, I really like the fact that they are slim across the shoulders, which doesn't add too much bulk to my frame but then they balloon out before nipping in again at the wrist!! So flattering and feminine!!

The mid section of the sleeve is gathered at the top and the cuff, can you see? I didn't have quite enough fabric so had to improvise with a scrap of contrast for the cuff lining!?? Once the completed sleeves were attached I gave it a quick press and its all done!!

This is my toasty warm version with a cosy turtle neck for cooler days. Wearing it this way with my sweater underneath and a pair of skinny jeans, makes a lovely warm but casual outfit, perfect for lounging around, but still being stylish in case of unexpected visitors!!
