How To: Style a Green Sweater for a Corporate Holiday Party
Happy Monday babes! We are back with another blog post this Monday. I hope you enjoyed your weekend and got some good deals on your Christmas shopping. Speaking of Christmas, this is the time where a lot of jobs start planning and getting ready for their annual corporate holiday parties. Well, in spirit of the holiday season I thrifted a green sweater and what better way to style it for the holidays. So, today’s blog post will show you how to style a green sweater for a corporate holiday party!
The first way you can style a green sweater for your corporate holiday party is with some nice dress pants. This look is for my corporate employees who keep it business and works at all times. To “Style Up” wear wide leg dress pants to add some flare.
If you want to keep it more business professional add a simple black blazer to your look. If you are business professional, but like to add color… go with a festive blazer for the holiday party to stay in the holiday spirit.
The second way to style a green sweater is with a long flowy skirt. This look is for my corporate employees who like to flirt (girl, don’t act like you don’t! LOL). This skirt is silky and has a mini slit on the side. To add a little DIY, you can cut the slit higher to your liking with a pair of scissors to add a little more sex appeal. Not too much because you are still at a corporate event.
To “Style Up” the look I added some chandelier earrings to give the look some glam, a wide belt to cinch in the waist. This helps to not have an oversized look, and a metallic pink clutch to add a pop of color. Because I feel these colors are neutral any color purse or clutch will be just fine. Remember the “Style Up” is about you and making it your own.
The third way to style a green sweater for a corporate holiday party is with leopard print. This can be any style of leopard print, but for this look I went with a dress. This look is for my corporate employees who like to party and have fun. To know more about different styles of leopard print, read my post here.
I added the sweater under the leopard print dress to show the versatility. All dresses do not have to be worn one way. “Style Up” and add a sweater underneath your summer dress, or add it over your dress and give off the impression that it is a skirt. Since this is another neutral look I went with a colored lace up heel to add some pop. If it is cold in your city… opt for an ankle boot or OTK boot with stockings to keep you warm.
The fourth way to style a green sweater is with green pants. This is for my corporate employees who is into fashion and loves to look on trend/stylish. This is a monochromatic look with shades of the same color. You can have the same shade of green or different shades of green either way it will look great for the corporate holiday party.
To “Style Up” I added some glam with my earrings, and opted for a clear heel. I did not have any green shoes so this heel worked out perfectly. *Style Tip* when you are unsure of what color heel to wear or if you do not have the color you are wanting… always opt for a clear or nude shoe. It works every time. Thank me later!
The final way to wear a green sweater for a corporate holiday party is with festive holiday pants. This is for my corporate employees who are always in the holiday spirit no matter what holiday it is. Wearing festive clothing is her thing.
The festive pants that I opted for were plaid pants that I purchased two years ago from Walmart. The pants have all the colors of Christmas and matched great with the green sweater. This look required flats because if you are the festive employee you will be involved in all the holiday party activities. So comfort was key for this look. Lastly, you do not have to spend money on the fancy earrings. Just take some ornaments from your Christmas tree to match your look. It is all the added touch you need.
That wraps up our blog post for today on how to style a green sweater for a corporate holiday party. If you decide to wear a green sweater or any sweater to your holiday function this is a great guide to help you. Let me know in the comments which employee are you and how you would “Style Up” your look. I appreciate you babes! Until next time, “Style Up”!
