Got a couple of trousers that are feeling a bit too snug for comfort?

I’ve enjoyed wearing these rockin’ pants for over a decade but neither fit me comfortably at all anymore:

Both were tight but the striped ones cut off my circulation when I tried to pull them up and I couldn’t get the faux leather pair done up without a fight:

I grabbed both trousers, decided that I loved the faux leather pair more so I’d use the striped pair to create my side panels. Then I simply revisited my step by step upsizing tutorial and got making:

Those checked trousers are still a wardrobe fave too!

A closer look at the waistband area reveals the mismatched side seams but I still think they’re fantastic!

And they fit comfortably once again, hooray!
