Super Easy 5-minute Hairstyle

Hey everyone! Follow along to learn a quick, messy bun updo.
This easy, lazy hairstyle is the perfect look for the holidays or any time of the year when you just want to try something new in just 5 minutes.
Let’s get started!
Tools and materials:
- Brush
- 2 claw clips
- Hair tie
- A few bobby pins
1. Separate 2 wisps of hair in the front
Start by taking out 2 equal wisps of hair in the front, by your temples.
2. Clip your hair in 2 sections
Take half of your hair, from the top, and temporarily clip it on top of your head with a claw clip.
Next, take the rest of your hair, the bottom layer, and clip that with a claw clip too.
3. Make a small bun
Take the clip out of the top section and run a brush through the hair.
Then pull your hair through, as if you were doing a regular ponytail.
On the last twist of the elastic, pull your hair through to form a little bun, like this:
Stretch it out a bit, but you don’t want it too floppy.
4. Hide the ends
Next, twist the ends that are hanging out.
Then, open up the hair tie and tuck the loose ends into it.
Make sure no ends are hanging out–that everything is tucked, and your bun should be secure, like this:
Now tease the bun out a bit to make it bigger.
5. Secure the top bun
Press the bun flat against your head and insert one bobby pin in the top (center) and then one on each side to prevent gaps.
(See video 0:55 -1:10).
6. Repeat for lower bun
Now, remove the bottom portion of hair from the claw clip and do the same process: create a little bun:
Twist the ends and tuck them into the hair tie:
Make sure none of the ends are hanging out. If you’re struggling to get the ends to stay in, your hair tie might be too loose.
Then push the bun to your neck and secure it with a few bobby pins. For the lower bun I actually needed more bobby pins.
7. Polish off the look
Now just pinch and pull to get the buns just right. Remember, this is a casual look, so it doesn’t need to be perfect.
8. Style the front strands
Return to the front and twist each front strand. You can leave some of the hair loose if you want.
Then pinch and pull them for more volume:
Now pin them near the bun:
9. Add the finishing touch
No matter what type of updo I’m styling, I always like to pinch and pull the hair at my crown.
Take the tips of your fingers, then pinch and pull the hair little by little.
You don’t want to overdo it, so work in tiny sections from side to side.
Here’s the final look of this cute, lazy bun hairstyle from the side and straight on:
