Hey, guys! Today, I’m going to show you four 1-minute hairstyles that you can do quickly and easily when you’re in need of hairstyles for a lazy day. Let’s get started!

Tools and materials:

  • Hair ties
  • Bobby pins
Brushing hair

Before we get started, I’m going to brush my hair with the Tangle Teaser. It’s my go-to brush and it does wonders on my tangly, thin, and fine hair. Plus, it’s great for dry styling.

Hairstyle 1: Low bun

Hairstyle 1: Low bun

1. Do a ponytail

Pull your hair up and pull it through your hair tie completely two times.

Step 2: Create a small bun

On the third time, pull it through only a little to create a bun with the ends hanging out.

Step 3: Twist and tie the ends

Twist the ends and bring them up over the bun, then tie them with a hair tie.

Step 4: Cross and pull over your bun

Now you can see there’s an opening. Put your fingers through the opening and turn it, so the twists cross over each other. You can do it left or right.

Hairstyle 1: Low bun

Pull the opening over your bun.

5. Tighten and secure the ends

Pull the ends that are hanging out to tighten them. Then wrap them around the bun and tuck them underneath. Bobby pin to secure.

You can leave it as-is, but I’m going to be extra and pin and pull for some texture. Here’s the finished look!

Hairstyle 2: Pull-through braid

Hairstyle 2: Pull-through braid

1. Section your ponytail

Pull your hair up into a ponytail, and then split the ponytail into two sections—top and bottom. Just tie some hair ties down at the bottom of each section.

Hairstyle 2: Pull-through braid

2. Pull the bottom section through the top

Split open the top section and pull the bottom section through.

3. Repeat

Keep pulling the bottom section through the top all the way down. You should be re-splitting the top section every single time, so it’s not the same split.

If you don’t do this, you’re going to have some openings and gaps and you don’t want that. You want it to look like a really nice, pull-through braid.

Once you get to the bottom, you can just tie it with a hair tie.

Hairstyle 2: Pull-through braid

These cute, quick braid hairstyles are so cool! Though it did go a little bit over a minute, it’s still pretty quick and so stinking cute.

Hairstyle 3: Messy bun

Hairstyle 3: Messy bun

1. Spread your ponytail

Put your hair up into a ponytail and then spread that ponytail all around the base.

2. Make a small bun

Pinch it up where your ponytail is. Make sure you hold on to it tight and pull your hair tie over.

It’s going to create a little bun. It should be a small bun, not a big bun.

3. Tie the ends and topsy tail it

Tie the ends that are hanging out right where your forehead is.

Split it open, and you’re going to do a topsy tail, so flip the ends up through the open section and stick your fingers through it.

Hairstyle 3: Messy bun

4. Twist the ends and pull them over the bun

Turn the topsy tail left or right and then pull the opening back over the bun, similarly to how we did the low bun.

5. Tighten and tuck the ends

Tighten the ends and then tuck them underneath the bun. Bobby pin to secure.

Hairstyle 4: Half-up hairstyle

Hairstyle 4: Half-up hairstyle

1. Knot your top section together

Split your hair up top into two sections and then knot them together as if you’re tying your shoelaces. Pull tight.

Hairstyle 4: Half-up hairstyle

2. Add in hair and knot again

Add a section of hair to each of the strands and do the same thing. Just tie a knot.

Hairstyle 4: Half-up hairstyle

3. Repeat

Keep going back and adding hair into each strand and tying a knot. Do as many knots as you want, just make sure to add in the hair.

Hairstyle 4: Half-up hairstyle

4. Tie into a ponytail

Once you reach the last knot, just add in hair from the sides and pull your hair into a half-up ponytail

Hairstyle 4: Half-up hairstyle

This style is so cute! It almost looks like a French braid, so if you can’t French-braid, try this out!
