5 Minute Makeup Look
I’m going to show you a 5-minute makeup look using the Merit line of beauty products ( https://www.meritbeauty.com). Their idea is less is more; it’s a minimalistic beauty. I know that a lot of ladies in my age group are already retired, and the idea of getting up every day and putting on a lot of makeup doesn’t appeal to them. So this is for all of my ladies out there who just want to wear enough makeup to have a natural look.
Tools and materials:
- The Minimalist (perfecting complexion stick)
- Flush Balm (blush in Raspberry Beret)
- Shade Slick (tinted Lip oil in Pink Beet)
- Day Glow (highlighting balm in Bounce)
- Brow 1980 (volumizing pomade)
- Clean Lash (lengthening mascara)
The Minimalist
I’m starting with the perfecting complexion stick. I’m just going in and covering up anything I don’t like. It blends in really well with my skin. The stick gives you a bit of coverage, enough to cancel out any darkness or redness that you may have.
Flush Balm
Next up, I’m going to add some color. I’m going to use the flush balm that has Vitamin E in it. You can apply it three different ways: you can use a brush and brush it on, you can put it on your fingers or just directly onto your skin. I’m going to use my fingers, and because I have no eyeshadow, I’m going to put it on my eyes to give me a little bit of color up there. I’m also going to put some on my cheeks.
Shade Slick
Then we need some lip color. This is the Shade Slick; it’s a tinted lip oil. We all know how annoying it is when lipstick wears off quickly. This lip oil, though, lasts really well throughout the day, so you do not constantly have to reapply it.
Day Glow
I’m going to add some day glow; this gives my face a good vibrant shine.
Clean Lash
This is the mascara, it will lengthen your lashes, and it does not smudge. Once you put it on, it will stay on until you take it off. My lashes are actually blonde, so they don’t show at all. For people like me who have fair hair, this is definitely an essential product to use.
Brow 1980
I’m finishing off the makeup look with a volumizing brow brush that is mineral-based. It doesn’t smudge, and it doesn’t flake. I’m just going to apply it to my brows and brush them up to give them a bit more definition.
That is my 5-minute makeup look using Merit, doing an all-natural, quick, easy makeup look. It is something that you can throw on when you’re in a hurry, and it’s also a great option for when you’re traveling and can only take a small selection of makeup with you.
