Drawing a design on reflective fabric

1. Draw the design

I decided to add a funky patch on the front of my plain black cap. So, I hand drew the shape I wanted on the inside of the reflective fabric. Remember, the interior part is not reflective, so it’s best to draw on that side so you don’t mess with the reflective side.

2. Cut your shape

Now, cut out your shape carefully. Here, I decided to go for a striking lightning bolt pattern. But, of course, you can decide on any design that you want.

3. Stick on the piece

With your handy fabric glue, squeeze the glue onto the sides of the pattern and then focus on the inside area. Make sure it’s evenly distributed.

Now, carefully stick on the piece of reflective fabric, and ensure it’s centered.

3. Glue the pieces

Before you go ahead and glue on the pieces, put a newspaper between the fabric layers so that the glue doesn't seep to the bottom layer.

Placing the circles to gauge the design

Then, place the circles on the top to form a rough idea of how your design will look.

Gluing the circle pieces onto the top

Take your fabric glue and squeeze a fair amount on each of the circles. Then, glue down the circles.
