Barbie DIY Like You've NEVER Seen
Do you have an old Barbie doll sitting around at home from your childhood days?
Today, I’m going to show you how you can upcycle it into a pair of DIY earrings. Grab your tools, and let’s get started!
Tools and materials:
- Barbie doll
- Knife
- Eye hook screws
- Jewelry charms
- Earring hooks
1. Remove the hands
Start by sawing off the hands with a knife.
2. Insert eye hook screws
Next, insert the eye hook screws into the top of the hands.
3. Add charms
Now add some decorative charms to the eye hook screws. I used a cute beaded bow for each earring.
Add another charm on top of that, also attached to the eye hook screws.
I went for a star on each side in different colors to create an asymmetrical look.
4. Add earring hooks
The final step is to add the earring hooks.

Here are the finished earrings. What do you think - cute or a little bit creepy? Or both cute and creepy at the same time?
Either way, I really like them. I think they’re super unique, and I love how I’ve been able to upcycle an old Barbie doll into an accessory.
