This 6-Step Basic Skincare Routine is the Perfect 30-Minute Pamper

Today, I'm going to share with you my basic skincare routine. The routine takes around 30 minutes, and it's simple, quick, and easy to follow. I'm using minimal, inexpensive products that work for my skin, but of course, you can use what you have or swap in products that work best for your skin.
So, if you don’t have to go shopping, there’s nothing to stop you from trying it out right now! Let's get started.
Tools and materials:
- Facial cleansing wipes
- Face wash
- Calcium bentonite clay face mask
- Cleansing lotion
- Cotton pads
- Hydrating sheet mask
- Face moisturizer
- Lip balm
- Makeup brush
- Clean face cloths
1. Start with a clean face
Use your favorite facial cleansing wipes to remove any excess makeup or oils from your skin.
Use a clean, damp face cloth to gently wet your skin. Or, just start this basic skincare routine after you hop out of the shower.
Next, apply a face wash to your face and massage it in for at least 60 seconds. If you have time, you can repeat this wash for a total of 120 seconds.
Let the face wash set on your face for 5 minutes and then rinse it off.
2. Detoxify and exfoliate your skin
Apply a calcium bentonite clay mask to your face to detoxify, purify and exfoliate your skin. Add a little water to the clay mask and stir, then apply it using a makeup brush. Let it sit on your skin for at least 10 minutes.
When the mask is fully dry, rinse it off with warm water and lightly pat your face dry.
I also love trying out different DIY mask recipes. See my previous tutorials for how to make a turmeric face mask, a peel-off gelatin face mask for blackheads, as well as different organic face masks.
3. Apply cleansing lotion
Use cotton makeup pads to apply cleansing lotion to your whole face, including your eyelids.
4. Add extra hydration
Apply a hydrating sheet mask to your face and leave it on for 10 minutes. Choose one with hyaluronic acid and ceramide; these ingredients are great for most skin types, even sensitive skin like mine.
5. Always moisturize
The most important step is to leave your skin moisturized. Use your favorite face cream or moisturizer. Finish with a skin illuminating product if you wish.
6. Don’t forget your lips
Keep your lips hydrated as well, by applying a moisturizing lip balm.

Thank you for the inspiration! I've been working from home for three years and have really neglected my skin care. Is your routine for all skin types? Even at age 66, my skin is really oily but the good news is I don't have many wrinkles because of it! LOL!
