If you’re a bride-to-be, this bun wedding hairstyle is perfect for you. Let’s get into the tutorial.

Tools and materials:

  • Cream or heat protectant for hair
  • Brush
  • Straightening iron (curling iron)
  • Comb
  • Hairspray
  • Rubber band
  • Bobby pins/clips
  • Elastic hair ties
  • Mesh scrunchie
Prepping hair

1. Prep the hair

Apply any creams or heat protectants to your hair to prepare it for curling. I’m applying a cream.

Prepping hair

Brush the product through the hair for the most even distribution.

Curling hair

2. Curl the hair in sections

Use a straightening iron to curl the hair in sections. I’ve sectioned off the front pieces of the hair as well to leave uncurled.

Combing

3. Comb

Comb through the finished curls to loosen them.

Applying hairspray

4. Hairspray and tease

Apply hairspray to the roots and then tease them with a comb for more volume at the crown of the head.

Sectioning hair

5. Tie back hair from the sides

Take two small sections from each side and clip them together in the back.

Sectioning hair

Use a rubber band attached to a bobby pin to secure it.

Scrunchie

6. Tie the ponytail back

Tie the rest of the hair into a ponytail with a simple elastic. Cover the regular elastic with a mesh scrunchie.

Twisting ponytail

7. Twist the ponytail in sections to create the bun

Grab a small section of hair from the ponytail and twist it. Secure it around the scrunchie.

Creating bun

Repeat this with the rest of the hair, gradually creating a bun with the twisted strands.

Pin each one. You can also use hairspray to help keep it in place.

Twisting hair

8. Twist the front sections

Twist the front sections of the hair and secure them just above the bun.

Leave a small section in the front out to frame the face.
