Braided Ribbon Hairstyle for Short Hair

Tools and materials:
- 3 clear hair elastics
- Thin silk ribbon
- 1 clip
1. Make a half-ponytail
Secure a small, half-ponytail using a clear, hair elastic. You can leave out face-framing hair if you’d like.
2. Tie a bow
Slip a long, thin, silk ribbon under the ponytail and tie an even bow to cover the elastic.
Keep in mind that the ribbon should be slightly longer than your hair when tied like this.
3. Split and clip 1 side
Split the tail into 2 even sections, temporarily clipping 1 of these sections to the side with its portion of the ribbon.
4. Braid
Make a small braid, incorporating half of the hair with the ribbon. Then secure the end with a clear, hair elastic.
Repeat for the other half of the ponytail. You can use the clip to keep the loop of the bow out of the way, if necessary.
Pinch and pull gently at the sections of the braids to make them fuller.
