Create a darling apron for the Halloween season with felt and basic sewing skills.

Fall, the leaves, cool crisp days and time to bake some yummy goodness in the kitchen! How about a super fun apron and who doesn’t love candy corn! Candy corn has the best color scheme for the Halloween season with the white, orange and yellow segments.

Here is what you need to make the apron:

  • 1/3 yd of each cut by the yard Eco-fi Classicfelt™, Yellow, White, Orange
  • 1 yard each of assorted trims
  • 1 yard Black polka dot ribbon
  • 1” Orange Buttons, 6
  • Scissors, pinking shears (optional) white pencil, ruler, needle, sewing machine and matching thread

Cut one 12” by 33” piece from each of the three colors of felt.

Lengthwise, seam all three pieces together.

Sew trims across all three sections of apron.

Fold piece in half, measure 17.5” across bottom from fold. Measure 6” from fold across top.

Draw a line from the bottom measurement to the top. Trim off excess.

Cut polka dot ribbon in half; sew to each corner of apron top.

Sew on buttons.

There you have it, easy peasy! Could be a Halloween costume too; add yellow leggings and a white top and head out to trick or treat as a piece of candy corn!
