Five Ways To Wear Cropped Wide Leg Jeans

If you're ready to branch out from skinny jeans, a pair of wide leg crops may be your next favorite denim style! Give those calves some breathing room this spring in any of these on-trend transitional outfits.

This style is more flattering than many women think! Consider how narrow your waist will look with more volume on the bottom half of your body. I recommend keeping the waist and hips fitted and aiming for the hem to hit about 2" above the ankle bone (or just below where your calf muscle widens).

Textured Blouse + Gold/Cork Accessories

A solid color is anything but boring when it features fun textured details. A cork clutch and heeled sandals with gold accents are perfect for a warm weather look.

Puff Sleeve Top + Platform Sandals

To really whittle your waist, consider some volume at your shoulders. A v-neck helps with this illusion as well. A bit of a platform on a sandal will literally add inches to your leg line helping your figure appear longer and leaner.

Sweater Tank + Metallic Flats

A chunky knit sleeveless sweater looks great front tucked into some high rise crops and skims over any areas you'd rather conceal on your top half. Pick a metallic shine that flatters your skin tone to create an extra long leg line.

Graphic Tee + Low Cut Casual Sneakers

A standard combo in my mom uniform, a front-tucked graphic tank keeps the leg line long while the low cut casual sneakers (NOT the kind you wear to workout) show off a bit more ankle. A sneaker with a bit of a platform would look great too!

Striped Top + Woven Mules

The defined ruffle peplum helps to define a high waist without the need to tuck - a great option for those wanting to conceal the lower tummy area. Stripes and woven textured flats create a classic nautical feel that works so well for warmer weather. Espadrille loafers would be another great option.

Do you have a favorite look? Are you encouraged to give non-skinny jeans a try or have you already taken the leap to wide legs?

All my Best,

Amanda
