How to Tie a Skirt in 2 Easy Ways
Do you have a skirt that you love but it’s too long on you?
In this DIY, I’m going to show you two easy ways that you can shorten the skirt length that doesn’t involve any sewing or cutting! Let me show you how to tie a skirt.
Tools and materials:
- Elastic
1. Grab material
Pinch some material from the top and the bottom of the skirt.
2. Tie together
Tie the material together, making a double or even triple knot.
Here is the finished look. The skirt is now cinched on the side, and it creates an asymmetrical hemline which I think looks really stylish.
Onto the next look.
1. Tie skirt
Grab some material at the front of the skirt and tie it together with an elastic.
Then tuck the tied part underneath the ruching so it doesn’t show.
Here is the finished look. You can either leave the cinched section in the center of your skirt or turn your skirt around so that it’s on the side.
How to tie a skirt
There we have two ways that you can tie a skirt. Both of them don’t detract from the skirt’s appearance in any way, I think that they actually enhance it!
Give these two methods a go, and let me know what you think.
