We all know that white and cream go well with navy, but sometimes it’s hard to think of other colors to pair with your favorite neutrals. Honestly anything can go with navy blue, but here are a few color pairing ideas that you may not have considered!

Colors to wear with navy blue

NAVY BLUE and SAGE GREEN. I could have paired every shade of green with navy blue — they’re adjacent on the color wheel so they’re a perfect combination and made to go together. In my “ what to wear with olive green” post I shared olive and navy, so I’ll skip that particular combo and show you a few other examples.

Sage green is one of my favorite colors, and it absolutely goes with navy blue. So pretty and subtle next to the dark shade of blue.

FOREST GREEN and NAVY BLUE. This is another amazing green and blue color combo, this time with a forest shade of green that’s rich and beautiful.

BRIGHT BLUE and NAVY BLUE. I love a monochromatic outfit, and you can have lots of fun with different shades of blue with navy blue! Try bright blue like this, sky blue, periwinkle blue, another dark navy piece, or any other blue you have in your closet!

BRIGHT PINK and NAVY BLUE. Hot pink is one of the colors of 2023, and it looks spectacular with navy blue! Give it a try!

GRAY and NAVY BLUE. We all know gray goes with everything, but I wanted to show you a quick example!

YELLOW and BLUE. They’re primary colors, so of course they go together, but mustard yellow and navy blue are great alternatives to the classic hues.

HOT ORANGE and NAVY BLUE. Hot orange is another huge color for summer 2023! This sweater looks more like it’s red in this photo, but it has a very warm red/orange color in real life and the color combo of the dark blue and bright orange/red is so unexpected and pretty. Also, red and navy go well together, of course!

CREAM and NAVY. As I said at the beginning of the post, cream and white are obvious colors to pair with navy blue, but I couldn’t resist showing you this cream sweater with this navy skirt. This may be my favorite of all these outfits. It just feels a little edgy, a little feminine, a little unexpected, and a lot fun.

MAUVE and NAVY BLUE. Moving on from red, different shades of rosy are going to be gorgeous with navy as well. This mauve color is spectacular and perfect paired with navy blue.
