How to Wear Your Button-down During Hot Weather
Hey guys! I’m going to show you how to wear your button-down during hot weather so you can expose a little midriff and stay cool.
This is a fabulous way to turn a simple button-down into a fun and flirty summer top. Follow along.
Tools and materials:
- Button-down shirt
1. Starting backwards
Open your shirt and put one arm through one sleeve with the shirt facing backward.
We’re throwing all conventions out the window for this look.
2. A little twist
Twist the shirt at its center and then put the second sleeve on. This will give the shirt a new and unique silhouette.
3. Button, tuck and style
Button the buttons in the back.
Tuck in the collar on top, and tuck the ends of the shirt up and into the shirt at the bottom.
Make any necessary adjustments needed to make sure the shirt sits comfortably and stylishly.

This hack is the perfect way to turn a boring button-down into a unique and gorgeous summer top.
