How to Dress a Fam for Beautiful Photos Outside

Everyone knows how fast these kids grow up and sometimes its hard to get family photos since one spouse is usually taking the photos. We try to set some time aside once a year to get dressed up, bring the tripod and get some cute pics! Ya you can hire a pro for $400 for about an hour... but we all have cell phones with amazing photos in our pockets.

This was my first little photo sess with my little babe! It was on mothers day and all the cherry blossoms were bloomed and falling all over the little stream. It was absolutely lovely!

The color palette was yellow, blue and a little pink to not compete with the cherry blossoms but to complement them.

Since the baby was just a few weeks old she mostly was just wrapped in a blanket but we did have rainbows on all of our shirts! It was a little chilly so my daughter had her jacket buttoned up.

The following year, we went back to the same park on the same day but (Mother's day) but this time we had a little less luck with the flowers since it had rained a lot the days prior.

But no matter, we still got some great pics!

This time we went with the yellow and blue for the most part which worked out well against the greenery.

Look how big these guys are getting!

Another photo session for the end of the summer and this time we went with pink, white and cream colors. I always stick to more muted colors then bright.

Next phots we will have another addition to the gang and be a family of 5!

I also lean towards similar colors rather then matching outfits, first its easier to find and can be stuff you already own. 2nd too much matching can be.. too much!

You may be wondering about shoes.. are their even important? I forgot to pack nice ones and the kids were happy to run around bare foot. Plus I love their little toes in the pics!

It's always easy to being in more colors with some bows and clips too! Now getting them to smile can be a little harder ;)

We got the cousins and extended family into the photos too!
