This Halloween, I’m going to be dressing up as Cruella de Vil. She’s really fun to dress up as and the makeup is particularly fun to do as she has a very distinctive look. Follow along as I show you my classic Cruella makeup.

Tools and materials:

  • Eyeshadow
  • Concealer
  • Eyeliner
  • False lashes
  • Foundation
  • Blush
  • Highlighter
  • Chalk
  • Paintbrush
  • Hairspray
  • Lipstick
  • Lipliner
Applying eyeshadow

1. Eyeshadow

First, we’re starting with a dusty pink base. Apply it all over your lid and right up to your brow bone.

Then go in with a dark brown shade just on your lid. I also added some concealer to my lids to help the eyeshadow stay in place better by giving it a bit more grip.

Applying eyeshadow

Next, we’re going to apply some olive green eyeshadow on the inner lid and a silvery-white color in the inner corner. We now have a nice smokey green eyeshadow look.

Applying eyeliner

2. Eyeliner

Next, do a tight line of eyeliner on your upper lid. I’m using a liquid liner as I think that this works better on top of the eyeshadow.

3. Foundation

Apply your foundation, blush, highlighter, and anything else that you like to use as you normally would.

Coloring hair

4. Hair

To color your hair, take some white chalk and break it up in a bag until you are left with a powder. Make sure you break it up until it is really fine otherwise you will be left with chunks.

Then take a paintbrush, dip it in water, dip it in the chalk and then start painting your hair. Proceed to apply some hairspray to help the chalk stay in place.

Cruella’s hair, as you know, is one-half black and one-half white. I’ve decided not to color the whole side of my hair but just the top section, but you can the full length of your hair if you want.

Once you’ve done the white side, repeat the process with the black side. When you’ve done the black side, you may want to go in and apply another layer of chalk to the white side to make the color more intense.

Adding lipstick

5. Lipstick

The final bit of makeup for this Cruella look is some red lipstick. I’m going to first apply some lip liner and then fill in my lips with the lipstick.

Classic Cruella outfit

For the outfit, I’m wearing a black midi dress with a slit up the leg, and a fur coat that was my grandma's. Then I have a pair of red heels on my feet and I make a long cigarette to accessorize.

Classic Cruella

This Cruella de Vil makeup look and outfit were so easy to put together and only required things that I already owned. I’m really happy with the end result and will be enjoying my Halloween in style!
