Fall Dress to Jacket
Hello Readers. I love the change of seasons. I love fall colors. I like the new pretty scenery to look at. I was given a dress that had all the gorgeous fall colors in it. Check out this dress!
This dress had all the great colors of fall. It was very long on me and it felt like a lot all at once though. Maybe there was a way to keep the beautiful colors without it being so overwhelming.
There is! I decided to shorten the dress quite a bit. It was so colorful that it didn't need to be long to make a impact. It would still make a statement if it was shorter.
I turned that raw edge under twice and sewed a new hem with my sewing machine.
I liked this dress more as a loose open style jacket than I did as a dress. The colors still catch your eye but its not as over powering. And it was so easy. It just needed a cut and a quick hem. The buttons down the front mean it is easy to wear it open. By wearing a solid color shirt and pants, the colorful jacket is still the highlight of the outfit without being too much.
