DIY Aloe Vera Face Wash for Oily Skin: Super-Easy Recipe & Tutorial

Today, I'm sharing a recipe and tutorial on how to make DIY aloe vera face wash for oily skin.
The recipe calls for castile soap, which is a gentle and environmentally friendly soap made out of plant oils including coconut, hemp, sunflower seed, jojoba, and olive. Let's get to it!
Tools and materials:
- Distilled water
- Liquid Castile soap
- Vegetable glycerin
- Aloe Vera gel
- Almond oil
- Jojoba beads
- Lavender essential oil
- An airtight container
- Measuring cups and spoons
- A funnel
Castile soap gets its name from Castile, Spain, a location known for its olive oil. Castile soap is usually very concentrated so if you buy a bottle, it will last you a long time!
In fact, if you need to buy all of the ingredients for this homemade aloe vera face wash, you will have enough to make a ton of it!
Aloe vera gel face wash recipe
Using your funnel, pour the following ingredients into your airtight container:
- ¼ cup distilled water
- 2 tablespoons liquid castile soap
- 1 tablespoon almond oil
- 1 teaspoon vegetable glycerin
- 1 teaspoon aloe vera gel (you might need to help get the gel from the funnel into the container as it may be too thick to flow through the funnel
- 1 teaspoon jojoba beads
- 6 drops of lavender essential oil
Shake the bottle
Take the funnel out of the container and put the cap on the container tightly. Now, shake the container well to combine all of the ingredients.
Lather to cleanse
To use your DIY aloe vera cleanser, shake the container and then pour some of the cleanser into the palm of your hand.
Rub your hands together to produce a nice lather. Then, just wash your face with it as you would normally wash.
