How to DIY Your Own Amazing Hair Product for Dry Hair
Today, I’m going to show you how to make an essential DIY hair product.
I don’t know about you, but my hair takes a really long time to grow. I spent a lot of time growing it out and just didn’t cut my hair for the longest time. The ends of our hair tend to get dry and damaged, especially if you don’t get your hair cut very often.
I made myself a revitalizing, dry ends and damaged hair serum, and it really helped. This serum will heal split ends so that your hair looks soft and healthy. The best part is that it’s so easy to make.
There are just six ingredients. You will need a one-ounce bottle with a dropper to hold the serum. You will also need a funnel to get the oils into the dropper.
Tools and materials:
- 1 ounce bottle with dropper
- Lavender oil
- Rosemary oil
- Sandalwood oil
- Jojoba oil
- Argan oil
1. Measure and add each oil
2. Measure 6 drops of lavender essential oil
You need 6 drops of lavender essential oil. Lavender essential oil is great for combating oily hair and dandruff.
If used in a weekly scalp massage, this lavender oil can help improve hair growth.
3. Measure 6 drops of Rosemary essential oil
Add 6 drops of Rosemary essential oil. Rosemary oil may help stimulate hair growth and treat dandruff.
4. Measure 4 drops of sandalwood essential oil
Pour in 4 drops of sandalwood essential oil.
Sandalwood oil helps to strengthen hair roots for a healthier head of hair and may help to seal in moisture.
5. Measure 1 tablespoon of Jojoba oil
Measure and add 1 tablespoon of Jojoba oil.
Jojoba oil is actually a liquid plant wax, not an oil. It behaves in a similar way to something called sebum oil which our skin produces naturally.
Jojoba oil won’t clog hair follicles, making it a wonderful conditioner for dry hair. It also may also encourage hair growth.
6. Measure 1 tablespoon of argan oil
Argan oil is rich in vitamin E, antioxidants, and fatty acids. It is a “dry” oil, meaning it’s light and gets absorbed quickly.
It’s wonderful for conditioning and moisturizing dry or damaged hair.
After you have poured in the lavender, rosemary, sandalwood, jojoba and argan oils into the one-ounce bottle, put on the cover and gently shake it up.
To apply, simply put a couple of drops onto the palm of your hand and use your fingertips to apply the oil to the ends of your hair. You can use this serum on dry or wet hair.
You can also use this tincture to give yourself a weekly scalp massage.
Simply rub a few drops between your fingers and massage to the roots of your hair and scalp. It feels great and is really good for your hair. If your hair is very dry, you can leave the oil on overnight for a more powerful treatment.

I hope this DIY serum helps your hair as much as it has helped mine. I loved it so much and I hope that you guys get as much benefit from it as I did.
