4 Easy Steps to Cute Holiday Nails
Are you all dressed for your holiday party, but want your nails to match the glamor of your outfit? Then, follow along with this tutorial as I show you a simple holiday nails technique that will do the trick!
I will demonstrate on fake nails, but of course, you can do this on your own nails. And even though I’ve used the traditional Christmas colors, you can always choose colors that coordinate with your clothing.
Tools and materials:
- Nail polish in white, red and green (or colors of your choice)
- Small-pointed nail tool
- Clear reflective glitter polish
- Fake nails (optional)
1. Apply base coat
Start your holiday nails with a coat of white nail polish.
2. Add decorative elements
Now, use a small-tipped tool to add some dots of the same white polish to the base coat.
Then apply more white nail polish to connect the dots into a V-shaped or crisscross pattern.
Now, add more white nail polish to alternating sections of the crisscross pattern.
3. Add in some color
Apply red nail polish to half the sections of the crisscross pattern not filled in with white polish.
Fill in the rest of the sections with green nail polish.
Be careful to not paint over the diagonal outlines. You want them to remain in order to clearly separate the color blocks.
Here’s one fully-painted Christmas nail.
4. Now the glitter!
Finish with a topcoat of clear reflective glitter polish. That’s the extra touch to make your holiday nails really sparkle!
