We have a really cool tutorial for you guys today! I feel like there are so many tutorials out there and not all of them actually work. This DIY makeup setting spray actually works.

We have made it and used it before, so we are going to make a fresh batch so you guys can see how easy it is!

Tools and materials:

  • Glass bowl
  • Spoon
  • Vegetable glycerin
  • Witch hazel
  • Aloe jelly
  • Spray bottle
Easy DIY makeup setting spray recipe

1. Start with vegetable glycerin

Add 3 teaspoons of vegetable glycerin to a glass bowl. I know that sounds really weird, but this ingredient is actually super accessible at many stores.

2. Add in witch hazel

Add 2 teaspoons of witch hazel to the glass bowl.

We are using cucumber-scented witch hazel, but you can use whichever scents you would like. Or, add in your own essential oils later.

3. Add in aloe gel

Add 1 teaspoon of aloe gel to the glass bowl. The aloe ingredient is a very important part of the actual setting process.

We like to make the spray in small batches but if you want more you can double this recipe.

4. Mix to combine

Mix the mixture with a spoon until all the ingredients are well combined. The mixture should be liquidy with some chunks.

5. Pour the mixture into the bottle

For storing the setting spray you can use an old spray bottle or buy a new one. We prefer to use a small one so that you can store it in your makeup bag.

Carefully pour the mixture into the bottle.
