Here, I’m going to show you how you can make them white with an easy DIY that uses inexpensive items you can find around the house. Let’s get started!

Tools and materials:

  • Bowl
  • Spoon
  • Salt
  • Lemon
  • Liquid soap
  • Toothbrush
  • White toothpaste
  • Castor oil
  • Towel
Adding ingredients

1. Add ingredients to bowl

First, fill a bowl with hot water. Into the water, add one teaspoon of salt, the juice of half a lemon, and a few drops of liquid soap.

2. Soak fingers

Soak your fingers in the bowl for 10 minutes.

3. Scrub nails

Scrub your nails with lemon peel.


4. Wash and dry fingers

Wash the lemon peel off of your fingers and dry them.

5. Brush nails with toothpaste

Now take an old toothbrush and white toothpaste, slowly brush the paste onto your nails and leave it on for 5 minutes. Then wash it off.

Apply castor oil and massage it into your nails.

    It looks like it made the nails thinner/weaker.

    The lighting in the picture is different. It makes everything a lot lighter. This may or may not work but it would've been better if they didn't change the lighting so we could see the true results.
