Styling Chunky Knitwear

I’ve recently picked up this gorgeous River Island chunky sweater and thought I would write a little post about some of the ways I will be wearing it through Autumn/ Winter.

I love the contrast of the bright pops of colour against the winter white and am already wondering when it will be cold enough to pull out in all its glory!

In my first look, I’ve dressed up for a winter evening out. My friends and I enjoy the odd Christmas workshop, wreath making or drinks out after school carols.

I have paired the sweater with a silky textured bias cut skirt from Boden, which feels gorgeous and makes me feel really dressed up. My red boots are also from Boden. I feel so Christmassy in this outfit!

In my second look, I’m keeping it casual with a Whistles denim skirt, my daughter’s beautiful cowboy boots and my Mulberry Lily handbag for a cosy drinks at the pub look.

You could equally pull this look off with blue jeans if you prefer to skirts. I kind of liked the 90’s vibe of the skirt and boots.

A sweater or sweatshirt over a dress is always a good idea! I’m extending the wear of this beautiful Sister Design summer dress (see my previous posts for more details on this gorgeous piece) with the addition of the jumper and a pair of Converse.

You could wear this look anywhere and feel warm, cosy and elegant.

There’s always time for dungas! In my final look for this post, I’m wearing my favourite Wyse dungarees over the top of the sweater.

To complete my look, I’ve pulled on a pair of pink Dr Martens boots. (On a side note: thank heavens for my tiny feet, these are from the kid’s range and half the price)

I hope you like my chunky sweater looks and this has given you some outfit inspiration for the colder months.
