Quick and Easy Flawless Base Makeup Tutorial

It’s always a good idea to prepare for your makeup with a solid foundation.


Follow along to learn my personal routine for flawless, filtered base makeup. I’ll be applying these steps to half of my face so that you can really see the results.

Tools and materials:

  • Face mist
  • Primer
  • Color corrector
  • Assorted makeup brushes
  • Foundation
  • Concealer
  • Contour 
  • Beauty blender
  • Blush
  • Translucent powder
  • Setting spray
Applying face mist

1. Apply face mist

Apply a generous amount of face mist. Let it dry partially.


2. Apply primer

Apply primer to your skin.

3. Apply color corrector

Apply color corrector in areas that you want to camouflage. This is unique for each person.

4. Apply foundation

Brush on foundation for a uniform look. This will also cover the color corrector.

5. Apply concealer

Apply concealer to brighten under the eyes, by the nose and the outer corners of the lips. Don’t blend it just yet.

6. Apply contour

For structure, apply contour at the jawline and temple areas.

Blur the concealer and contour with a beauty blender.

7. Apply blush

Apply your favorite shade of blush to your upper cheekbones for a lifted look.

Dab with a brush to blur the color.

8. Apply translucent powder

Apply translucent powder to reduce shine and help your makeup last.

9. Apply setting spray

Finish with a few spritzes of setting spray.
